Prototypes
Prototypes range in fidelity from simple and disposable to complex and deployable. Your choices on this spetrum should be based on the goals you which to achieve with this prototype, time avaliable, and technical limitations.
- Simple and disposable
- Paper – quickly sketch, layout, and rearrange modules and pages on pieces of paper
- Scripted – explore a linear journey, or simple branching journey. Typically done in Figma, Principle App, or ProtoPie
- Responsive – high-fiddelity Figma or ProtoPie prototype featuring an expanded set of paths and interactions
- Data/content – low-fidelity code prototype populated with example data
- Video – high-fidelity motion prototypes, typically done in AfterEffects
- Functional – high-fidelity code prototype including real data and content either deployed to staging or live as an A/B test
- Complex and deployable
